About the author

Hassan Refay is a German Sports psychologist and a bestselling children's book author with 86 publications nd over one million copies sold. Refay lives in Florida, minutes next to the IMG academies in Bradenton. He  is conducting tennis mental toughness workshops and still working -One-On-One- with top junior, league, college and professional players. 

Refay began developing The "10 Ways to Play Better Tennis and Win More Matches" while working with some of the best tennis players in Germany. During his 5-year tenure at The Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Florida, he was asked to create a program that would help talented tennis players of varying skill levels play at peak performance consistently. As a result, "10 Ways to Play Better Tennis and Win More Matches" was recorded, and now the program is available to the general public.

"I have been involved in tennis since Boris Becker won Wimbledon when he was 17. I still remember Maria Sharapova when she was a spaghetti-thin 8-year-old, working with her dad in Bradenton every day at the famous MCC tennis courts. I have closely observed and studied the mental attitude of the best players in the world.

I spent about 5 years at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Florida. I also visited Spain many times just to study the unbelievable successful Spanish system which keeps producing great players like Carlos Moya, Juan Carlos Ferrero, and even Marart Safin and Rafael Nadal."

As a Psychologist and researcher, Refay worked with some of the world’s best juniors, the TOP GUN, at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, in Florida, including pros now in the top 100 in the world.




Refay authored 12 motivational stories for children (In German). Over one million copies have been sold.



He authored Reiten als Therapy fuer Kinder (Horse Riding for Cerebral Palsy Patients),  a book about the benefits of riding a horse for patients with cerebral palsy symptoms.


Refay also wrote Karls Gefaehrliche Traeume, a story for the Anonymous Drugs Prevention Association in Frankfurt Germany. Karl’s Dangerous Dreams is an information and prevention story for children.


His 7-audiotape program entitled Muscles Memory Training for Tennis is designed to teach tennis players how to visualize their strokes, game plans and match play.


 


In affiliation with the Children’s Cancer Hospital, the largest newspaper in Germany, radio and TV stations in Berlin and the German Opera, Refay wrote Das Geheimnis der 3 LLL for The Children’s Dance Theater Company to raise money and build a house for the Berlin Child Cancer Society.
