Using funny stories to motivate children and help them focus better in school, sleep better at night and be more successful!
In today's world of TV, video games and internet, too many smart and talented children are having problems with concentration, self-discipline and sleeping at night and that's why I created the "SNOOGiS" stories to help children:
- Develop more self esteem, patience, and confidence
- Concentrate better in school
- Focus and perform better in sports
- Fall asleep faster
Hello and welcome to my SNOOGiS website,
My name is Mona Refay and I am a certified elementary school teacher. I have been motivating, inspiring and writing funny and exciting stories with children for children since graduating from the University of South Florida in 2009.
It is through my dad that I learned the Power of storytelling!
Story telling touched my life and now I am using the power of funny and exciting stories to inspire children. I am happy and very lucky because I have made a connection with what my father has taught me and what I love to do!
As long as I can remember, my father has always been telling me funny, exiting and inspiring stories. He is a child and sports psychologist and bestselling author but to me he has always been my personal storyteller. If I had a question or was seeking advice, my dad would not just give me a simple answer but instead we would sit and talk and usually this would always turn into some kind of story that I would take with me and treasure, not only because I was entertained but because there was always an underlying simple philosophy that would come along with it. Somehow I always left our conversation motivated, having learned something valuable that made me feel smarter and more confident!
Even today when our family is just sitting around our big kitchen table eating breakfast my father loves to tell stories, and I love to listen because his stories always give me a good feeling. In fact, he used this method in his practice as a child psychologist for more than 25 years with great success. He wrote, produced and sold over one million copies of motivational stories for children to help kids concentrate better in school, gain self esteem and sleep better.
Smart Kids need Real Success!
In my experience working with kids in school, I learned that too many smart children are not performing up to their full potential and get lost in the crowd often because they are shy, impatient or are easily distracted. I was not surprised to find out that telling funny and exciting stories, is the fastest and easiest way to connect to the kids and help talented and smart kids become more motivated and unlock their potential.
Kids are my Best Critics
Every story is developed through interaction with real kids, in real classrooms, in real schools. The kids are my best critics and I treasure their honesty! When I am in the schools, I am always amazed and inspired by how well the kids can communicate their thoughts and ideas about my stories and characters when they unlock their fantasy and let their imagination run free. So, I can proudly say that every one of my stories is kid approved!
